Cosmetic Cosmos Offers Mother-Daughter Makeovers for NWF

"I had gotten the idea of the Mother/Daughter makeovers to offer an activity to teach basic skin care and make-up in a bonding activity that is both fun and educational," says owner Sherry Brice. "Some of the daughters that began coming in with their moms in 2000 are now coming back with their own daughters." Since 2000, Cosmetic Cosmos has been the one-stop shop for makeup in downtown Newport. The store's lower Thames Street location—two minutes down the street from Midtown Oyster Bar and The Red Parrot—is only steps away from most of the NWF activities.
Brice has supported the NWF from the beginning and is looking forward to another exciting year. "Newport Winter Festival offers a wide variety of arts, entertainment, food and beverage and local business offerings to visitors; most of whom are within an easy drive from Newport. When you add in the mansions, ice skating and some of the most gorgeous scenery in the entire country, it is not hard to see why this event is so popular. I personally enjoy the ice sculpting and some of the cooking demos and drink competitions."
