It Only Comes Twice a Year: Restaurant Week!

Aside from the breathtaking water views and beautiful mansions, Newport is known and loved for its amazing restaurants in town.

Restaurant Week only comes around twice a year and offers "can't-miss" deals that everyone anticipates. From April 1-10, 2016 you can enjoy a three-course lunch specials for $16 and three-course dinner specials for $35. We hate to chose favorites with so many great options but here are some of the restaurants we insist you cannot miss!

22 Bowen's Wine Bar and Grille

22 Bowen's will never disappoint; they consistently keep supplying Newport with amazing dishes time after time. For the Lunch Restaurant Week Menu they will be offering there famous 22B Clam Chowder alongside Narragansett Steamed Mussels or Field Green Salad for the first course. The entree options range from Monkfish Gyros to Prime BBQ Burger. Finish off your amazing meal with either Vanilla Pound Cake or an Eclair if you have any room! For Dinner, start with delicious options like Local Oyster "Bloody Mary" and move onto their large entree section with a 10 oz. New York Sirloin or Beef Short Rib.

Castle Hill Inn

Castle Hill is one of the trademark locations of Newport. Amazing cuisine with equally amazing water views keeps people returning every year. Not only can you enjoy lunch and dinner for Restaurant Week but also their famous brunch for $16! The lunch menu starts with options for everyone! Clam Chowder, Pasta e Fagioli, and Matunuck Oysters are just a few appetizers you can enjoy. Maine Lobster Rolls and Castle Hill Reubens will keep you more than satisfied, as well as the other entree choices. The dessert is better than ever - Strawberry Rhubarb Tart sounds to die for. Enjoying a dinner at Castle Hill is an experience that everyone should have, Glazed Porchetta, Zuppa De Pesche and Carnaroli Risotto are dishes you truly cannot miss.

Clarke Cooke House

Each level of Clarke Cooke House is a beautiful area with a different vibe. The Summer Sushi is something that grabs customers by surprise but leaves them happy every time. The raw bar is amazing and the Boom Boom Room is great fun. The Dinner Restaurant Week Menu brings together every level Clarke Cooke House that we love. The starters include a Raw Bar Sampler, a Cup of Newport Clam Chowder, Pan Fried Crab Cakes, and more. The Salmon that you could enjoy for dinner will blow you away, however, there is three other incredible entrees as well. Vanilla Crème Brulee, Homemade Ice Cream and Sorbet and "The Snowball in Hell" will keep your sweet tooth satisfied. Were not sure exactly what "The Snowball in Hell" is but we will have to stop in and find out ourselves.

Fluke Wine Bar

Fluke Wine Bar is located in a amazing location overlooking Bowen's and Bannister's wharf right next to the harbor. The only thing better than their views is their food. Fluke is only open for dinner but their menu is amazing. Start your meal off with Lobster Bisque or Crisp Local Oysters if you prefer seafood. Steak Tartare or a Spring Vegetable Tart are also among these starters. In my opinion, Steak Frites is the perfect entree for dinner but you could also enjoy Duck Leg Confit or Vegetable Cassoulet. For dessert, dive into Passion Fruit Crème Brulee.

The Mooring Seafood Kitchen and Bar

For any seafood lover - you must check out The Mooring. The Mooring delivers the freshest and best quality seafood in unique, delicious dishes. The lunch menu brings you a fresh Cold Fennel Salad, Cup of Classic Mooring Clam Chowder, and Fluke Ceviche to get you warmed up for the entree. Crispy Cod Cake and Blackened Scup will please any seafood lover and Black Bean and Portabella Burger Sliders will please anyone who is not! The Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich for dessert is at the top of our list to try! First course for dinner includes Grilled Monk Saltimbocca and Friend Clams and more. The House Spinach Fettucini entree includes littleneck clams and the freshest ingredient while the Cod is paired with roasted garlic and tomato!

Jamestown Fish

The menu for Jamestown Fish has yet to be published but it's a restaurant we cannot hesitate to recommend. We will update the blog as soon as it is posted!
